Vera CHISTOVA, Deputy minister of Defence for financial and economic issues since April, 2009.

Born November 23, 1950, in Naro-Fominsk, Moscow Region.

Upon completion the Moscow Finance Institute she worked at the Ministry of Finance since 1973.

From 1989 to 2001 she worked in the USSR Presidential Property Management Department, RF President Government Committee to Oversee Nuclear and Radiation Safety, RF Presidential Property Management Department. Since 2001 – Vera Chistova has headed a department at the Ministry of Finances. In 2004 she was appointed as director of budget policy for the state military and law enforcement service and the state defence order at the Ministry of Finance.

In April 2009 Vera Chistova assumed the duties as Deputy minister of Defence for financial and economic issues by the presidential decree.

She has a doctorate in economics, Dignified Economist of the RF. Awarded the Order of Friendship and Honor.
