Deputy Commander-in-Chief
Admiral Alexander Tatarinov, Deputy Commander-in-Chief since 17 July 2007.
A native of Tchita region Alexander Tatarinov was born on 25 October 1950. From 1967 to 1972, he served as a naval cadet at the Black Sea Naval School.
Upon graduation, Alexander Tatarinov was appointed as chief of a lab at a material storage Baltic Fleet. In 1973, he assumed command over an air defence battery. In 1976, Mr. Tatarinov became commander of artillery DD Slavniy.
From 1977 to 1979, he served as senior assistant to commander EV Bodriy and, later, assumed the duties as senior assistant on board EV Neukrotimiy.
Upon completion at Higher Officer Courses in 1980, Alexander Tatarinov continued his service as commander DD Obraztsoviy.
In 1988, he earned a degree at Kuznetsov Naval Academy and reported to the Baltic Fleet as chief of staff anti-submarine squadron.
In 1990, Mr. Tatarinov was appointed as first deputy commander Baltic Naval Base (BNB) and assumed command over BNB in April 1996.
From 22 September 1997, he served as chief of staff Black Sea Fleet.
Alexander Tatarinov was established in the leadership of the Black Sea Fleet as Commander BSF on 15 February 2005 by Minister of Defence following a related President's Decree.
On 17 July 2007, Admiral Tatarinov assumed the duties as Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy following a related President's Decree.
Married with two children.
